Hello! I started my teaching career 29 years ago in New York State, where I am from
originally. I have taught in Ann Arbor schools for the past 17 years. Most of my
teaching career has been in special education. I have taught special education in a variety
of classrooms and to students of various ages. I also taught Young Five Kindergarten for
3 years. I have been at the Westerman Pre-school and Family Center for 7 years
supporting students both in Head Start general education classrooms and in classrooms at
preschool programs in the community. I really enjoy working with preschoolers and their
families!
I hold a B.A. in Creative Writing from Hamilton College and a M.S. in Elementary
Education from the College of St. Rose as well as additional coursework and certification
in Special Education.
My husband and I have a soon-to-be teenage son and a cat named Lightning. In my free
time I enjoy reading, family board games, nature and crafts.
